FLATUTEC Energy Credits are the currency of the biogenic revolution. Every cubic litre you contribute is logged, valued, and returned to you as real monetary value on your utility bill. You have been giving this away for free your entire life. That is now over.
The Credit System, Explained
Every time your MY2T™ captures a contribution, the MY2T™ Connect system logs its volume and methane grade in real time. This data is used to calculate your Biogenic Energy Credit (BEC) — a unit of value denominated in kilowatt-hours equivalent.
One BEC = one kilowatt-hour of energy returned to your household, deducted from your utility bill at your local grid rate. If your credits exceed your monthly usage, the surplus is carried forward. Elite Emitter tier contributors on the cash-out programme can convert surplus credits directly to money. Real money. In a bank account.
Credits are calculated using the MY2T™ AI's real-time grade model, which evaluates methane purity, volume, and thermal value. High-grade CH₄ earns a premium rate. Low-grade contributions still earn credits — just fewer. This is the one context in which diet directly affects your bank account, and we say that without irony.
Your credit balance, history, grade breakdown, and projected monthly saving are all visible in real time on your FLATUTEC dashboard app. Several contributors have described the dashboard as "surprisingly motivating." One contributor checks it every morning before breakfast. He adjusts his breakfast accordingly. He has not paid a utility bill since November.

How Your Credits Are Calculated
Rates vary by tier, grade, and time of day. All rates updated quarterly based on grid demand and refinery throughput data.

Rates are reviewed quarterly at the discretion of FLATUTEC. Contributors will be notified of changes 30 days in advance. We have never reduced rates. We plan to keep it that way. The feedstock is free.

Estimates based on average Polish residential electricity tariff G11 (approximately €0.19/kWh, inclusive of network charges and RES surcharge as of Q1 2026) and 1 BEC = 1 kWh. Actual savings vary by voivodeship, grid operator (PGE, Tauron, Enea, Energa), and your personal relationship with dietary fibre. Elite Emitter surplus cash-out calculated at €0.09/BEC above 300 BEC/month household threshold. These are projections, not guarantees. Łomianki contributors on district heating contracts have reported savings averaging 41% above projection. This is a bigos thing. We have stopped being surprised. How to Use Your Credits
Credits can be used in several ways. All options are real. None of them require you to explain how you earned them.
Utility Bill Offset
Credits are automatically applied to your linked utility account each month, reducing your bill at your local grid rate. The most common redemption method. Several contributors have a $0.00 standing order for their electricity provider. It remains unclear whether this brings them joy or an existential sense of triumph. We suspect both. Two of these contributors have reported receiving concerned phone calls from their utility company asking if everything was "okay." It is. It is better than okay. It is the future.
ALL TIERSCredit Banking
Unused credits roll over month to month with no expiry date. We have one contributor who banked credits for 18 months and then redeemed them all in December to cover Christmas entirely. She has since trademarked the phrase "I had a gas Christmas" and we cannot stop her.
ALL TIERSSurplus Cash-Out
Elite Emitter tier contributors whose monthly credits exceed their household usage threshold can cash out the surplus at $0.10 per BEC, paid directly to a verified bank account. Our highest monthly payout to a single contributor was $280. They live alone in a two-bedroom apartment in Nashville. They eat very well. We have asked them to write a cookbook. They have agreed. It is called "The Yield Bible: Chef's Edition." It will be self-published. We have agreed to distribute it through the FLATUTEC app. Pre-orders are open.
ELITE EMITTER ONLYGift Credits
Transfer credits to another FLATUTEC contributor account. Popular for family bundles and as gifts that are technically thoughtful but also technically something you produced yourself. We have implemented a 1,000 BEC annual gifting limit after an incident we are not at liberty to describe, except to say it involved a wedding and a very misguided best man speech.
SILVER & ELITECommunity Grid Donation
Donate your credits to the FLATUTEC Community Grid Fund, which powers community buildings, schools, and public spaces in under-served areas enrolled in our grid access programme. We do not advertise the cumulative donated figure publicly because Accounting says the number is "emotional." We are working on this.
ALL TIERSMY2T™ Certificate Certificate Mint
Elite Emitter contributors can use accumulated credits to mint a MY2T™ Certificate — a blockchain-verified proof-of-contribution certificate encoding your lifetime yield data, tier status, and carbon offset equivalent. These are collector items. They have no financial value. Several people have them as their LinkedIn profile picture. We support this.
